However unlike other weddings, beach weddings has some particular “to do” and “don’t” lists. So here I have compiled up some ideas and inspirations to help you plan up your beach wedding in style and budget J Enjoy!
Weather: The first and foremost thing you have to decide on is the season you will get married in, make sure you rule out hurricane and sand storm season. According to National Hurricane Centre Hurricane season in the Atlantic begins June 1st and ends November 30th. The Eastern Pacific hurricane season begins May 15th and also ends November 30th.In the U.S, sandstorms frequently occur in the deserts of Arizona, including around the cities of Yuma and Phoenix and in New Mexico and Texas. Local and regional dust storms are common and often arise from farm fields that are barren during winter or when there is drought. They also arise in deserts across the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico.
Location
Now that you have decided on a season, make sure you pick a date which is not a public holiday or around one, so that you can book a venue at affordable rates. As you think about a venue you, have to decide whether you want a public beach or a private beach. If you have more than 50 guests a public beach might be your option as finding a private beach which is ready to accommodate a large number of guests might be difficult.
The Rules
For Public Beaches there are a few common rules applied to all beaches but may differ from state to state so make sure you ask your beach authority what are the specific rules at your beach. Some we came across are
- If you are planning a wedding at a beach at Hawaii you will need to pay for a state permit.
- Amplified live music is prohibited (you might need a permit)
- Blocking sidewalks or pedestrian pathways
- Blocking large area (you might need a permit)
- Fires, cooking, alcohol, glass containers and smoking
- Parking (some beaches might require permit for parking)
If you plan to have a reception at a place other than beach for music, alcohol and bbq , you might consider a restaurant close to your beach and check if they have all sound arrangements.
