When I was planning my wedding the most fun I had was creating things for my special day. I loved the challenge and then the satisfaction of the awesome completion. Today I’ll share with you how to make a few things using toilet paper rolls. Yes, that’s right toilet paper rolls. I save all my toilet paper rolls for awesome stuff to do with them later.
Awhile back I created 3 videos on my YouTube channel (Insert hyperlink – https://www.youtube.com/user/DIYWedGoToGirl29)on simple DIY projects that show you how to make 3 separate things with toilet paper rolls.
Making a favor out of Toilet Paper Roll
How to video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8HeeT7S9JE
In my first video I show you how to make a cute favor in roughly five minutes. The favor cost less than 50 cents to make.
To make this favor which is filled with candies of your choice, you’ll need:
*1 toilet paper roll cut into a 2 inch width
*1 – 1 inch width scrapbook paper strip
*1 – 2 inch width scrapbook paper strip
*2 – sheets of your choice color tissue paper
*1 – sponge brush
*Ruler – cutting mat – craft cutter
*Modge podge
*1/8 inch width ribbon of your choice of color
*Candy – your choice of small candies that your guests will love
Take the toilet paper roll and fill it with your choice of candies. Put it on its side and roll it with the tissue paper. Twist the tissue paper on each side to secure the candy inside. Take the 2 inch width scrapbook paper strip and wrap it around the center of the favor, cut it to size and secure with Modge Podge. Next take the 1 inch width scrapbook paper strip and wrap it around the center of the favor, cut it to size and secure with Modge Podge. Next, cut the ribbon in 2 lengths of 8 inches each. Tie a ribbon on each end and you’re done. You can watch the video for visual instructions.
