History of Wish Upon a Wedding
Launched by Liz Guthrie in January of 2010, Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first non-profit organization, dedicated to providing weddings and vow renewals for individuals/families facing a life-threatening illness and other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. We are able to grant some of the most intimate and heartfelt wishes of these people’s lives and help them share this important day with close family members. Our hope is that chosen recipients can inspire other couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength.
About the North Carolina Chapter
Wish Upon a Wedding’s North Carolina chapter launched in June 2010.The Board of Directors is comprised of established wedding professionals throughout the North Carolina area.
We are looking forward to granting our first wish very soon!

Many wishes include flying family and loved ones in for our Wish Recipients’ celebrations. Your airline mile donations help to make these trips possible. Any amount you can contribute helps to bring our Wish Recipients’ and their families together.

By calling on our database of regional Wish Granters, we are able to make wedding dreams come true. From caterers to photographers and from JJ’s to cake designers, (and everything in between), we need you!
