Do you want to add a little chill to your wedding day?

Ice is becoming more and more popular in certain areas for brides to incorporate into their wedding day.  Ice can be very beautiful and add a little touch of “wow” to every celebration.  Here are some fun ways that you can incorporate ice into your wedding day:

Ice Curtains

Ice curtain!  How cool (no pun intended!) is that!?  Imagine these at the entrance to your ceremony or at your alter or near your bar at the reception.  Then add a little color to them by using LED lights? Your guests will be floored and will be talking about it until your 10 year anniversary!

Next up is the Ice Bar which is always a huge hit!  If you can’t or don’t want to do an entire bar you can always incorporate an ice luge where the bar tender pours the drink into the top of the ice and it comes out frosty cold in your glass at the bottom.

You could also stick with a traditional focal point and do a small, medium or large statute, monogram or something to symbolize each other.

Before you rush to Google your nearest ice crafter be sure to understand that even though ice is water, it won’t be cheap.  Ice crafters usually have years of experience and they have equipment to pay for, transportation costs and the equipment needed to make sure the floors of your reception don’t pool up.  It takes a lot so it is going to cost you some money.  You’ll also want to check with your venue to see what is/isn’t allowed before you place a deposit also.

One thing to remember with ice, because it won’t last forever, – you are buying an experience.  On your wedding day your guests are going to experience your wedding day with you.  By adding something fun with ice you can enhance yours and their wedding experience.

Happy Planning!
