This very fun, non-traditional couple wanted to create a variety of surprises and unique elements throughout their wedding at the beautiful Four Seasons Santa Barbara.
With the lush and impeccable landscaping, the clients decided to keep the wedding ceremony very simple. They love the movie Vicky Christina Barcelona, especially the scene with the single guitarist playing very intense. It was this musical inspiration that we incorporated into the wedding ceremony.
As guests transitioned to the cocktail hour, 2 more guitarists were added to continue the musical feel but to add more intensity. Guests were greeted by a Champagne hostess who carried more than a hundred glasses of champagne on her skirt! We chose to break from our purple and green theme, and elected to place her in a red dress to compliment the music.
The seating for the cocktail hour, carried into the La Pacifica ballroom. Almost all of the seating was lounge style, with a variety of couches, chairs, ottomans and fire pits. The Continuing with the non-traditional style, all of the food service was set at a variety of stations inside the ballroom and on the terrace.
And, each was paired with a signature cocktail! It is very trendy to have a signature cocktail at a reception, but we like taking things to the next level!

The purple and green theme was designed into all design elements. And the style was very eclectic. A variety of floral arrangements, candles, pillows and other décor ideas were incorporated throughout the event. Only 4 traditional tables were placed, to provide some seating for guests needing additional comfort and care!
As another season of Dancing with the Stars is in full swing, I am reminded of this wonderful couple who loved to dance and party. For this wedding, guests definitely were entertained and dancing shoes were required!
The reception was exactly what the clients wanted. A night filled with dancing, sharing tapas and cocktails, good friends and good times!
